Where do I begin?Visit this page at Purdue's Online Writing Lab go over the research process.
Navigate through this information by using the menu at the left. The Online Writing Lab at Purdue University will help with all your writing and research needs. Click the logo to learn more! What are citations? When you read and find information that you want to include in your essay, you must cite that information. Citations show the reader where you found the information. You will make a Reference List, but also include citations in the body of your essay. These are called in-text citations.
We will use APA citations. You can find all the help you need at Purdue's OWL. Simple English WIKIPEDIA is a great place to start to read about a topic. However, you should not cite this source in your essay because as a WIKI, the information can be changed by anyone, and is therefore often not reliable. Try to find alternate sources which provide you with the same proof/points. No Citing Allowed! By all means, go to WIKIPEDIA to get an idea about a topic, but find a more credible source to cite when writing an academic paper. |
